Striving for better

Constantly all day everyday I am thinking about how to make more money and how to get a better job than what I have. I want so badly to have a job that I am passionate about and a job that stimulates my creative brain and challenges me. I just don’t know how to get there, I keep playing with the idea of going back to school maybe law and if I am truly honest with myself I don’t think that is what I want. I just know that it is definitely not what I want right now. I am worried that I will push myself into going back to school just to feel like I am on a career path. I hope that I am able to connect with someone while living in LA that can help with this journey. I think that I have a lead but I just need to figure out how to approach the situation in a professional manner.

I am finding myself on the verge of obsessed with Lena Dunham. Her show “Girls” is so great and brilliantly written it kills me. I remember reading a review that said it is the “Sex and the City” of this generation and I couldn’t agree more. By that I mean real life “Sex and the City” is glamorous jobs and men and parties. It is awkward encounters and being broke and wanting to live a glamorous life but still feeling like a kid and not knowing how to figure stuff out. I am not sure that I can really relate to the actions of any characters but most of it is for the drama of the TV show anyways but I full heartily believe that this show is able to take a comedic look at how confusing it can be to find yourself as an early twenty something college grad wondering, what’s next?
